چکیده

Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) complicates 7-15% of pregnancies and is associated with adverse perinatal outcomes. The primary goal antenatal care the early detection such conditions. Doppler studies in fetus are used to predict morbidity IUGR. Studies show that cerebroplacental ratio a better predictor IUGR babies outcome. In this study we compare outcomes normal CPR an abnormal CPR. This prospective cohort was carried out Department Obstetrics Gynaecology, Amala Institute Medical Sciences, Thrissur, from January 2018 June 2019. included 170 mothers diagnosed sonologically or at risk calculated parameters as MCA PI Umbilical artery PI. more than 1.08 considered normal. Perinatal were compared between group. incidence found be 39.4%. An increase rate emergency ceaserean for fetal distress (76.12%) 64.18% had APGAR <7 5 mts life. 97.02% admitted NICU several reasons. Frequency increased These differences statistically highly significant. patients IUGR, useful marker prediction Integrating into routine clinical practice will help identify fetuses risk.

Hepato - Cephalic Index as a Predictor of Intrauterine Growth Restriction

AIM The aims of this study were to compare ultrasound fetoplacental parameters and to calculate Hepato-Cephalic Index (HCI) as a new predictor of IUGR. METHODS AND MATERIAL A clinical prospective study was conducted and included 120 pregnant women divided in two groups: non IUGR group included healthy pregnant women (n=60) and IUGR group included pregnant women with preeclampsia and IUGR (n=6...

Cerebroplacental Doppler ratio and placental histopathological features in pregnancies complicated by fetal growth restriction.

OBJECTIVE To correlate placental pathologic lesions, as defined by the Society for Pediatric Pathology, to the severity of the ratio of the pulsatility Doppler index (PI) of the fetal middle cerebral artery to that of the umbilical artery (cerebroplacental ratio, CPR). STUDY DESIGN A cohort-study of 176 singleton pregnancies complicated by fetal growth restriction (FGR). RESULTS The mean va...

Neonatal short-term outcomes in infants with intrauterine growth restriction

OBJECTIVES To assess the neonatal outcomes in newborns with intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) in a Romanian population in a 3 level maternity unit. METHODS A matched case-control design, with one control for each patient was used. The case group comprised neonates with birth weight and birth length below the 10th percentile for the gestational age. Individual matching by gender and age o...

Use of conditional centiles of middle cerebral artery pulsatility index and cerebroplacental ratio in the prediction of adverse perinatal outcomes.

INTRODUCTION Centiles of middle cerebral artery pulsatility index and cerebroplacental ratio are useful for predicting adverse perinatal outcomes. A 'conditional centile' is conditioned by a previous measurement reflecting degree of individual change over time. Here we test whether such centiles are independent predictors and whether their combination improves prediction. MATERIAL AND METHODS...

Predictive Value of Cerebroplacental Ratio in Detection of Perinatal Outcome in High-Risk Pregnancies.

OBJECTIVE To assess the predictive value of cerebroplacental ratio (i.e., S/D ratio of middle cerebral artery to S/D ratio of Umbilical artery) in detection of perinatal outcome in high-risk pregnancies. MATERIAL AND METHOD This retrospective study was conducted on 150 patients between 28 and 40 weeks of gestation (25 low risk and 125 high risk) who attended OPD and indoor wards of Teerthanke...
